We make sure that Immigrants families in Tacoma-Pierce County and the poorest families in the Democratic Republic of the Congo are educated on Human Rights, informed about family well-being and supported on their basics needs. We make sure that Political leaders and decision makers at all levels are informed on Family Well Being questions. Our purpose is to help kids and youth to get access to the quality education, health and protection.

About Us

We are a social service and a social communication group based in Tacoma-Pierce County (Washington), we are willing to go around the world helping families to reach their human rights and family well being goals. Our team in Tacoma is open to work with all organizations, business, government and anyone involved in the process of making the world a better place for every body by considering that every family in the world deserve a better life.

MISSION

Educating and helping African and Refugees families by empowering children and youth to make a positive family well-being impact both in Tacoma-Peirce County and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

PURPOSE

Supporting Health access, Education, Security, and Protection for kids (children) and youth in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We also help in-need Black African Immigrants and Refugees families to get access to critical resources in Tacoma-Peirce County and support the government policies for the well-being of children, youth, and poorest families.

African School of Family Well Being, Policy and Government (ASFAPOG) is a Human Rights Education founded with the purpose of helping African families by supporting kids and youth to get access to health, Education, and Protection with more focus on Intellectual and Mental disabilities people. ASFAPOG is based in Tacoma (Washington), and it’s dedicated to helping families in Africa, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

CONGO UNI POUR LA PAIX (UNITED CONGO FOR THE PEACE)

Congolese United for the Peace is a social communication program produced by ASFAPOG in the optic of sensitization Congolese children,

youth, and people at all levels about the importance of PEACE because without PEACE families will never experience the well-being’s benefits.

NUTRITION AND HEALTH LITERACY

ASFAPOG is working to promote all aspects of nutrition and health literacy for Congolese children, youth, families, and communities

because “inadequate health literacy can lead to poor self-care, worsened outcomes, and decreased likelihood of receiving preventive care and services”.

STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY RESILIENCE

“Working with the Health Department in the context of critical needs, strengthening children, youth and communities resilience, and ensuring a

successful whole-community response to an emergency, the Health Department needs to build and sustain relationships with community groups and work with them to best leverage their resources and connections during an emergency”.

SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAM

“The purpose of the special needs program is to support innovative, education-based approaches to addressing disaster preparedness and specific

responses related to natural and human-made disasters or disaster threats”, according to the Smith-Lever program which inspired ASFAPOG. We will work closely with children, youth, families, and decision-makers about special needs.

COVID AND DISEASES IMMUNIZATION TRAINING AND EDUCATION

With EXCITE, the Centers for Disease Control and Protection, the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, and other organizations,

ASFAPOG is working to promote vaccine confidence and uptake.

ASFAPOG MAGAZINE

As a social communication nonprofit too, this is an audiovisual and cinematographic program that tells children, youth, and families about the

Well-Being concept in the world and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. During this program, we listen to our guests and try to find a solution to their concerns related with deep empathy.

FARM ASSISTANCE

ASFAPOG will encourage Congolese farmers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and provide them with resources able to help them to grow their business. ASFAPOG will work with young farmers and the USDA National

Institute of Food and Agriculture, Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network, and see how to help farmers in DR Congo.

DISASTER RESPONSE

ASFAPOG, with its partners, will be providing some funding to mitigate the impact of disasters through Cooperative Extension Programming (local cooperative). ASFAPOG will support innovative, education-based projects that

address emergency preparedness and specific responses related to natural and human-made disasters. Around the country (Congo), ASFAPOG will support the quality of life in families and communities by addressing disaster preparedness, response, and recovery related to food, agriculture, natural resources, and human sciences.
